When Everything Falls into Place

In my last blog post, “Manifestation Through Mindset,” I mentioned how I had two job interviews in one week. I thought both interviews went well and that I had a good chance of getting an offer.

I had already decided to move to Ohio by the end of September even if I didn’t have a job yet. I thought I would have a little time to prepare for my move, but that wasn’t the case.

Not even two weeks after my interviews, I received a job offer. They wanted me to start as soon as possible, so the next day, I reserved a POD (moving/storage container), got free boxes through Craigslist and bought packing materials. In the days that followed… I packed my belongings, put them into the POD and even got an apartment. I also managed to make some time for visits and goodbyes with friends before I drove from New York to Ohio by myself. This all happened within a week of accepting the job offer.

The Timing Worked Out

The timing couldn’t have worked out better. I should mention that I had already looked at several apartments, but held off applying to one until I had a job offer. I was concerned that I missed my chance at the 2 bed/2 bath condo rental, but figured if I was meant to get it, I would. I contacted the owner to see if he was still accepting applications and though he was getting ready to offer it to someone, he let me submit my application. The next day he called with the good news that the apartment was mine if I wanted it.

Tomorrow will mark two weeks since I officially moved to Ohio. This past weekend, my POD arrived at my new place and we unloaded it. Over the coming weeks, I will be unpacking and working on furnishing the apartment.

With a new job, an out-of-state move and a new home, it is a lot of change in a short amount of time. Everything happened so fast and it may take some time before I get acclimated, both at work and in my new home.

We don’t always know when or how things will happen, and if you’re like me…you want to know. I remained prayerful and trusted that it would all fall into place. I prayed for the timing to work out, for the resources to move and the right apartment to move into. Everything fell into place…so quickly that it’s almost unreal and maybe even miraculous. This experience has left me feeling extremely grateful, blessed and in awe.
