A COVID Wedding
As I wrote in an earlier blog entry, "Wedding Planning During a Pandemic," was challenging. With much uncertainty surrounding these times, I had to let go of expectations while still wanting to manifest the wedding of my dreams.

After visiting many bridal shops, trying on countless gowns, as well as looking online, I finally said, "yes to the dress." The search was over. Or was it?
It wasn’t until long after my divorce that I would learn about The Four Horsemen by the Gottman Institute. The Four Horsemen (as in the Apocalypse) is a metaphor to describe communication styles that can predict the end of a relationship. They are: criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling.
Weight is not just a number. It’s whatever meaning you give that number. Unfortunately, I place too much weight on my weight. (Forgive the pun.)
My fiance and I finally set our wedding date. We hadn’t gotten very far in the planning process when news of the pandemic hit. With our late summer wedding now only five months away, it doesn’t leave much time to plan (though I think its doable). In light of what’s going on in the world, however, it feels weird to plan a wedding right now.
