There’s a quiet longing for friendships not yet found. Since moving to Ohio in 2019 I’ve met amazing people through my husband, our hobbies, and social events. Yet between choir rehearsals, group rides, and shared laughter, I realized that connection doesn't always lead to closeness.
Reconnect and revitalize. That is what I did on my recent Atlanta adventure. I called Georgia my home for 10 years, and this was my first time back visiting friends since 2021. I reconnected with a few people and experienced the city in a way I hadn't before.
Having lived in Georgia for a little over a decade, I return to visit my “second home” when I can. My most recent trip to Atlanta was so much fun. I flew in from New York on a Thursday night and my fiance, Alex drove down from Cincy on Saturday.
