I heard one of my favorite hymns, "Be Not Afraid" in church today. It's a song I learned when I was a child.
Holding space for a partner, a friend or a family member means supporting the person emotionally. When someone is going through a tough time, holding space means being understanding and having empathy for their situation. It's about listening and validating their feelings.
With another Thanksgiving behind us, this is a reminder to be grateful each day and not just on Thanksgiving. Make gratitude a daily practice. When we appreciate what we have, we open ourselves to more things to be thankful for.
According to Google Dictionary, ghosting is "the practice of ending a personal relationship with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing all communication." I admit, I've been on both the giving and receiving end of ghosting.
