Like millions of people, I watched that Peloton ad where a husband gifts his already fit-looking wife a Peloton exercise bike. Many were outraged while others made jokes because you’re not supposed to give an exercise-related gift to a woman. The ad did not upset me though. If anything, I thought, what’s the big deal?

I Hiked the Grouse Grind aka Mother Nature’s Stairmaster

Commonly referred to as “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster,” the Grouse Grind is a very challenging trail that is 2.9 km (1.8 mi) in length with 2,830 steps gaining 853 metres (2,800 feet) in elevation. For safety reasons, downhill travel is prohibited (meaning be prepared to finish if you start it).
